Light Weight Gel Pad 

 Do you have a saddle that fits your horse but you still get minor slippage?

Sometimes, even with a well fitting saddle,  your horse’s shape can still cause some minor slipping.  In fact, on some roley poley horses a well fitting saddle can be inclined to slip more than an ill fitting one that tends to anchor itself on the horse’s back at the points where it digs in.

The Acavallo light weight non-slip gel pads are a great solution because with their extra sticky gel they are great for helping stabalise your saddle and because they are both light weight and thin they are less likely to interfere with the fit of your saddle like some thicker pads can.  

They can be used against the skin as the gel is non-toxic, breathable and hypoallergenic, so will not adversely affect the skin, BUT not all horses will tolerate this so generally it’s best to use it between your saddle cloth and saddle or to test it out carefully first!

The pads can be cut with scissors to fit smaller saddles and are popular in the showing world as they can be ‘hidden’ underneath the saddle for a seamless look in the show ring.

To care for your Acavallo gel pad:

Machine wash (30 degrees) or in a bucket by hand with a little gentle detergent (do not use harsh detergents). Allow to dry naturally – do not tumble dry or expose to direct heat or strong sunlight.
